Our company contacted by Phil Amundson of World Wide ERA and alliance partner UR Company (URC) out of St Cloud MN that we may be eligible for a utility refund. He said that they will do no cost analysis to determine if there were funds to recover. At first, I thought that sounds too good to be true, but if it is a no cost analysis, what do we have to lose. Nothing! All I did was provide Phil a recent electric statement. There was no risk for us, and the refund showed up a few months later. We received a refund of several thousand dollars I am happy that Phil reached as I was not aware of this program. The whole process was very simple, and they did all the work, all we had to do was pay them their portion, which was agreed upon upfront. It was an unexpected and nice savings to see.
I would encourage any companies approached by Phil to at least do an analysis because you have nothing to lose. I am glad we did. Phil has been good to work with and stayed in touch with us through the process.

The City of Zanesville has engaged the services of URC and over the past several months they have reviewed and recovered for the city several thousand dollars in taxes and surcharges. In addition to the recovery, URC has implemented a savings plan for future years regarding utilities of the city.

As a successful non-profit continuously facing escalating pressures on our expenses, we contracted with Utility Refund Corporation (URC) to assist us in holding down our utility costs. Early conversations with both Matt Allyn and Bob Nichols were encouraging and we looked forward to providing them the necessary information to recover certain taxes and fees we had been charged.
We were amazed at their “common-sense” and professional approach and more than impressed with the actual savings they were able to achieve for us. Although we diligently review all billings from vendors, admittedly, we were not always aware of potential savings in most all utility vendor billings.
And while their analysis of our costs led to true savings, commencing almost immediately, perhaps their greatest contribution to our agency was in the knowledge they imparted to us about the propriety of certain charges that vendors may include in their invoices. Our Finance department is much more informed and aware of these costs, feeling better equipped to monitor them in the future.
